About Us

Need4Mercy is a source for those who are interested in the truth about life and about death and the eternal existence of the human soul. That sounds pretty philosophical, and maybe a bit too morbid, but the truth isn’t always tied up in ribbons and bows with cute music playing in the background. Truth isn’t about making you feel better about yourself, it is about reality. Our intention is to give you a place to seek and find, or at least encourage and assist you in your journey for eternal truth.

Those of us who are involved in Need4Mercy talk to a lot of people in many different places who have one thing in common. They are uncertain about what will happen to them when this life is over. This is a serious issue that a person should not blow off with foolishness or procrastination. Do you know where you will go after you die? Are you sure? Click the icon at the end of this sentence if you would like to learn more on this philosophical and eternal question.

Can you really trust us? How can you be sure that we know what we are talking about? Good question, fair question, but I have a good answer. We draw our answers from the Bible. If you’re not sure if you want to accept the Bible as a reliable source, then tell me what proven, reliable source you are presently banking on? Your own opinion perhaps? Someone else's opinion? Yea, that’s what I thought.

Yes, we are Christians and hold to a historical, mainline Christian perspective about anthropology and theology. All things are made by, through, and for Jesus Christ to the glory of the One Sovereign God. We are not a theological website, there are already many great ones out there, but if you’re interested in theological issues, check our resource page for our recommendations.

Our statement of faith in a nutshell:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,

the Creator of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried.

The third day He arose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven

and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,

whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and life everlasting.

*The word "catholic" refers not to the Roman Catholic Church, but to the universal church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
